Bridal Nail Art – Less is more!!!

I am kind of an old school when it comes to experimenting with nails on weddings or other similar occasions. Though I love to try new shades in matt, gloss and sparkle but that is about how far I think I would go. The exotic art on nails (like below) sure look very tempting to try but I think the Indian Bride already has so much going on her hands - mehendi, fancy tattoos, bangles and bracelets, accessories like hathphool, that I think these exotic nails can give a clumsy feeling and may be lost in the crowd.

What do you think? Which one do you prefer? Is less really more when it comes to bridal nails?

Yieks!! I'm definatly in the less is more camp. Especially when it comes to desi brides... imagine how lost these little stones and studs would be amidst all the jewelry and bhaari kaam on the outfit. I'd say stick to nudes, bronzes or golds; nice and clean, that dont distract from the real bling.

I prefer simple bold colors! Jewels are a bit too much ... may be a small flower on an index finger or thumb is acceptable :)

These nails are all beautiful, but I think a traditional nail color is probably best for a bride. These nails are like art!

Sovina said...

@ Tanvi- having a jeweled index finger or thumb is a good idea..didn't think about it:)

@lifestylebohemia- thanks for stopping by the blog..hope to see more of you :)

its nice bt i think nails shud be kept minimal cuz its gnna distract da whole outfit n makeup n outfit being highlited nails wud nt attract dat much attention it shud be plain n nude...

Hey ashima!!! thanks for stopping by..Hope you enjoy the blog and yeah I totally agree with you that funky nails could divert the attention away from outfit and jewelery.
